Women's Big Bash League 2022 Eliminator

In the Women's Big Bash League 2022 Eliminator, the Hobart Hurricanes Women will take on a face-to-face the match with Brisbane Heat Women. There will be a challenger match between the Adelaide Strikers and the winner of this game, which will decide which of these three teams will compete against the Sydney Sixers in the finals of the competition. As of this point in the tournament, the Heat have been outstanding. Together with her captain Jess Jonassen, Amelia Kerr has been a leader in this effort. The addition of Jess Kerr to the squad, replacing Pooja Vastrakar in the starting lineup, has also been a valuable addition. The Harris sisters, Laura and Grace, have provided some firepower to the batting lineup with their power-packed bats. All eyes will be on Georgia Redmayne, who is on the verge of recovering from a hamstring injury and will be one of the key players.

For the Hobart Hurricanes, they too have a large number of players who have the ability to win matches for their team. Lizelle Lee will be hoping to emulate a bit of what Mignon du Preez has been doing this season as she has been in fine form, so the Hurricanes will hope she can pull off a similar feat. In addition, their captain, Elyse Villani, is accustomed to playing on big stages and could make an impression. Due to the large variety of teams involved in bowling, Molly Strano has a position as a head coach over a unit that often has limited options due to the number of teams involved in the sport. The experience and expertise of Hayley Jensen and Maisy Gibson have proven to be effective options for the position, as has Nicola Carey's international experience.

Due to the fact that the defending champions have already been eliminated, we are certain that a new champion will emerge this year. There have already been two championships for the Heat and Sixers. There is already one of those teams in the final of the competition.

Hobart Hurricanes Women vs Brisbane Heat Women

Brisbane Heat Women won by 44 runs

Brisbane Heat secured their place against Adelaide Strikers Women with a comprehensive victory. As Hobart Hurricanes Women got off to a good start as Lee and Villani put up a 61-run stand for the opening wicket, they set the tone for the chase, but they lost their way through in the middle overs when the pressure began mounting. Throughout the game, the spin trio dictated terms in the middle and made it difficult for the Hobart Hurricanes to hit the ball. The Heat turned the tide in their favour after losing Lizelle Lee in the first over of the power surge. As the Hurricanes lost five wickets for only 19 runs at the back end of the innings, it was hard for them to gain any momentum going forward. Four wickets were taken by Jess Jonassen, assisted by Amelia Kerr, Courtney Sippel, and Charli Knott. At the end of this match Brisbane Heat Women won against Hobart Hurricanes Women by 44 runs.
