The 4th match of the 2022 Road Safety World Series was held last September 12 at Greenpark Staduim where the South Africa - Legend defeat the New Zealand - Legend by winning the match by 9 wickets.
South Africa - Legend vs New Zealand - Legend Match Highlights:
South Africa – Legends registered a crushing 9-wicket win over New Zealand legends. South Africa opener Andrew Puttick slammed a fine quick-fire fifty to seal the tie in his team’s favor. Batting first the NZ-Legends could manage only 98 runs, while the SA-Legends successfully chased the score with more than 6 overs to spare.
Andrew Puttick scored a half-century as South Africa Legends registered their first victory in Road Safety World Series 2022. They defeated New Zealand Legends by nine wickets to register a massive win.
Earlier, New Zealand Legends started their first match at the Road Safety World Series 2022 on a bad note as they lost four early wickets. Johan Botha got all four wickets in his four overs. Aaron Redmond (3), Anton Devcich (0), Ross Taylor (4) and Neil Broom (1) departed inside 10 Overs.
The South African legends then got Jacob Oram and Craig McMillan. Oram hit 6 runs, while McMillan got out for 7 runs.
New Zealand Legends opened their campaign in the Road Safety World Series 2022 on Monday with a match against South Africa Legends at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The Ross Taylor-led side will look to register a win in their first match of the tournament.
Apart from Ross Taylor, the likes of Jacob Oram, Jamie How and Scott Styris are present in the New Zealand Legends which makes it a really strong team. They will look to win this edition of the tournament. India Legends won the inaugural series after beating Sri Lanka legends in the final.
On the other hand, South Africa Legends have started the tournament with a defeat and will look to change their fortunes in the second match. The Jonty Rhodes-led side faced defeat against India Legends in the last match. The captain will hope the likes of Alviro Petersen, Andrew Puttick, Lance Klusener, Vernon Philander and Makhaya Ntini work their magic in the match.
