Harmanpreet Kaur is a Indian cricketer , a team captain of India Women’s National Cricket Team as an all rounder.


Harmanpreet Kaur was awarded the Arjuna Award for Cricket in the 2017 by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.


In year 2018, Harmanpreet Kaur became the first woman for India to score a century in Women’s Twenty20 International match.


Year 2019, she became the first cricketer for India to play in 100 international Twenty20 matches during the series against South Africa.


Cricket Career of Harmanpreet Kaur


Harmanpreet Kaur made her debut at the age of 20 as she played in 2009 Women’s Cricket World Cup against arch-rivals Pakistan Women’s National Cricket Team.


On the same year in June 2009, Kaur made a debut as she play against England Women’s Cricket Team for her first Twenty20 International where she scored 8 runs off 7 balls.


On 2012 Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup Finals Harman was named as Indian Women’s Captain as the captain and Vice captain were out because of injuries, Harmanpreet Kaur made her debut as Team captain as they defeated Pakistan .


Year 2013, she was named ODI Captain of India Women’s Cricket team when Bangladesh toured India, in this series Harmanpreet Kaur scored her 2nd ODI century.


Year 2014, Harmanpreet Kaur is one of the eight who played in a Test Match against England


On the same year of November, Kaur made a 9 wicket score as she played against South Africa Women Cricket Team in a Test Match and helped India to win the match.


In 2016, she played a T20 international and help India to win the series against Australia where the Team scored a 31 ball 46 runs in India’s highest ever chase.


On the same year, Harmanpreet Kaur became the 1st Indian cricketer to be signed by an overseas T20 Franchise, she signed to play for Sydney Thunder for the 2016-17 season of Women’s Big Bash League.


On July 20, 2017 , the Women’s Cricket World Cup Semi finals where Kaur’s score the second- highest score by an Indian batter in Women’s One Day International match. She also holds the record for the highest individual score for India in Women’s Cricket World Cup History. Harman became second India batter to feature in the top-10 of ICC Women's ODI Player Ranking.


In December 2017, she was named as one of the players in the ICC Women's T20I Team of the Year


In 2018 of October , Harmanpreet Kaur was named as the captain of India’s squad to play for the 2018 ICC Women’s World T20 Tournament in the West Indies.


In the opening match against New Zealand , she became the 1st woman for India to score a century in WT20Is


On the same year 2018 of November, she was named in Sydney thunder squad to play for 2018-19 Women’s Big Bash League.


In 2020, Harmanpreet Kaur was named as the team captain of India’s Sqiad for 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.


In 2021, She was drafted for the inaugural season of the Hundred and played for Manchester Original in 3 games


In march 2021 , she became the 5th Indian woman cricketer to represent India in 100 ODIs.


In May on the same year, Kaur was named as the vice-captain of India’s Test Sqauad for the one-off match battled between India and England Women’s Cricket Team.


2021 of September, Kaur was signed for 2021-22 Women’s Big Bash League season to play for Melbourne Renegades.


This year of January, Harmanpreet Kaur was named to represent India for 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
