The International Cricket Council introduce the annual ICC Awards for international cricket to recognize and honor the best international cricket players of the previous 12 months.
In January 2021, the ICC introduced “Player of the Month” awards to honor both men and women cricketers that performed best across all forms of international cricket each month.
For the month of September this year , 3 Men and 3 Women are being nominated to win the title of being The Player of the Month for the month of September
Last October 10, 2022 ICC revealed the result who won the Award.
In men’s division , Mohammad Rizwan got the title of being The Player of the Month for the month of September. While, Harmanpreet Kaur won the award for women’s division.

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been awarded the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2022 after showing a memorable ODI Series in England.
Harmanpreet Kaur made a tough competition against her teammate Smriti Mandhana and Bangladesh Nigar Sultana who made up some stunning display.

Harmanpreet Kaur made a memorable month not just a batter but also as the team captain of the India Women's national cricket team. By her leading the team , India women whitewash their ODI series against England by a 3-0 standing. This was the 1st win of India women against England since 1999.
Kaur lead by example during the series and finished as the highest run by 221 and a strike rate of 103.27.
Harmanpreet Kaur played the role of the finisher in the first two games.
Harmanpreet Kaur made a well paced innings of 74 to guide India to win the battle while chasing 228. She followed that up with her impressive second-highest score of 143 off in 111 balls in the 50 over format of the 2nd ODI match.
Prior to the ODI series , Harmanpreet Kaur had an underwhelming T20i series though she did help India women to get across the line with a 22-ball 29 in their only win of the series.

Pakistan batter Mohammad Rizwan has been awarded the the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for September 2022 after some outstanding performance.
Mohammad Rizwan beat the ace of India - Axar Patel and Australian all rounder Cameron Green who also made a month to remember.
Mohammad Rizwan was in his impressive form in the month of September after making a unbeaten performance in T20Is.
The number 1 T20Is batter of MRF Tyres ICC Men's Player Rankings continue his dominance in the shortest format of the game and made his way to be on the shortlist for the month of September Player of the Month.
How Mohammad Rizwan envisages his fifty during their battle against India
In the 10 matches he played last month, Mohammad Rizwan began with two scores of 70+ against Hongkong and India in the 2022 Asia Cup.
Rizwan finish the tournament with yet another fifty and as the leading run- scorer but unfortunately Pakistan loss the tournament as Sri Lanka beats them on the final match.
He also registered four scores of 60+ to help Pakistan in the first five T20Is of the seven-match series and take a lead by a 3-2 standing.
Despite of playing one less game, Rizwan still manage to finish the series as the highest run-getter with 316 runs at an average of 63.20 while going at 138.60
