The Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers will square off in the Big Bash League's 25th game in 2022–2023. The results of these two teams competing against one another have been completely different. Josh Philippe's ferocious start helped Sixers post a brilliant total during the rain-shortened game, which was reduced to a 14-over contest. Henriques and Christian soon fell in an effort to increase the pace as Vince pursued a wide one and inched behind. But as soon as the Surge ended, Jordan Silk and Hayden Kerr immediately went on the attack and scored runs. However, when he stumped Kerr, Matthew Kuhnemann secured the crucial wicket.
Though Silk was the dangerous batsman, Neser on the fence displayed exceptional game awareness by taking a magnificent catch and then having the foresight to catch it outside first with his feet in the air and then having the presence of mind to come back inside to take it after he lobbed it in. As a result, Heat won the match as a result of Silk's dismissal. Whiteley completed the innings with a couple of wickets as 18 ran off the final over. The Heat defeat the Sixers' four-game winning streak for their second victory of the year.
